This time, Yakopi continues its program by processing Nipah (Nypa fruticans) into sugar. This event was held on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 in Abeuk Geulanteu Village, Madat District, East Aceh Regency. It was guided by Mr. Rijalul Halimi.

Mr. Halim had previously done training on nipah shaking, including shaking time and proper technique, in order to make the nipa stalks flexible and allow for optimal sap production. This event will go on to the following stage  which is the cooking of nipa sap (Nypa fruticans) water, followed by the printing stage.

At the stage of cooking, the sip is cooked for approximately 3 hours with regular stirring to produce sugar of good quality. Cooking is done until the color of the sip becomes brown, which is then printed with a mold bowl. Once finished printing, nipah sugar will be packaged and ready for sale or personal consumption, at least they can use it for their daily needs.
